PURPOSE: To reduce the number of times of manual operation until a desired setting mode is attained by controlling the setting mode in the subsequent manual control mode to an optimum with regard to the setting mode in the automatic control directly before the selection, when the manual control mode is selected.
CONSTITUTION: The changeover of respective automatic and manual control modes is commanded by a means 1, and the control mode change during the manual control mode is commanded by a means 2. And the control mode during the automatic control mode is stored by a means 3, and a prescribed time from the time when the control mode change has been commanded is counted by a means 4, and also the control mode during the manual control mode is stored by a means 5. When the control mode change is commanded, an air- conditioner constituent element 8 is controlled by a means 6 in accordance with the stored contents of the means 3, and also the control mode is written in the means 5. Whenever the control mode change is commanded during the time counting, the air-conditioner constituent element 8 is controlled by a means 7 in accordance with the stored contents of the means 5, and also the stored contents of the means 5 are renewed.
