Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make it possible to regulate the temperature of upper blow-out air during bi-level mode, by adjusting the position of a damper means during bi-level mode to change the flow rate of cool air which is fed into an upper air take-out port through a bypass passage. CONSTITUTION:During bi-level mode, a damper 16 in an upper air take-out port 15 is located at the position N while a damper 18 in a defroster air blow- out port 17 is located at the position F, and a damper 20 in a lower blow-out port 19 is located at the position P. At this time, when a temperature regulating know is moved to a predetermined position, an air mix damper 13 is moved from the position V1 to the position 2 while an air mix subdamper 21 is moved from the position W3 to the position W4, and a damper 23 is moved from the position X1 to the position X2. Then, the ratio of the flow rate of cool air passing through a second bypass passage 22, to the flow rate of air from an air mix chamber 14 is gradually decreased. As a result, the temperature of air flowing into the upper air take-out port 15 is gradually raised.
