This device comprises a gas sensor 66 detecting odors and/or gas components included in an outside air, an inside and outside air switching means A switching the outside air introduction into a compartment of the mobile element and inside air circulation, an inside and outside air switching switch 51 manually indicating the inside and outside air switching by the inside and outside air switching means A, and a control means 200 controlling the inside and outside air switching by the inside and outside air switching means A based on detection signals of the gas sensor 66 and a threshold evaluating the detection signals. The control means 200 corrects the threshold according to the magnitude of the detection signals of the gas sensor 66 when it receives the inside and outside air indicating signals from the inside and outside air switching switch 51.
