PURPOSE: To permit stable operation with respect to the change of external condition due to reduction of atmospheric temperature, snow accumulating or the like by a method wherein an unit type outdoor machine, equipped with an air suction port and an air discharging port, both of which are opened at outdoor side, is installed in an exclusive chamber while a means to hold the exclusive chamber in a proper temperature is provided in the device.
CONSTITUTION: The unit type outdoor machine 1 is installed in the exclusive chamber 4 and an air sending port 6 as well as an air suction port 5 are opened in the exclusive chamber 4 while the machine 1 is installed so that the outdoor side suction port 9 and the outdoor side air discharging port 10 are opened through a wall 7. An indoor temperature sensor 24 and an outdoor temperature sensor 25 are arranged at proper places in the exclusive chamber 4 and the outside 8 of the chamber to switch switching dampers 14, 15 by a driving unit automatically. In case the atmospheric temperature is less than 15°C, for example, the indoor side suction port 5 - the main body 13 of the machine - the indoor side air sending port 6 are communicated in the outdoor machine 1 to dissipate heat in a room to be air- conditioned into the exclusive chamber 4 and discharge the heat into atmosphere 8 through the wall 7 by transferring the heat. In case the room temperature of the exclusive chamber 4 is increased under exceeding a given temperature, the amount of dissipating heat may be controlled by mixing airs in the exclusive chamber 4 and the outside 8 of the room and exchanging heat thereof.
