To provide air cooling facilities designed for the effective use of the heat of vaporization of liquefied natural gas and also enabling prevention of sticking of moisture such as frost or ice to a heat transfer surface in air cooling.
The air cooling facilities are provided with heat exchange equipment 1 on the liquefied natural gas side comprised of a low-temperature-part gas-side heat exchanger 11, a middle-temperature-part gas-side heat exchanger 12 and a high- temperature-part gas-side heat exchanger 13 which lead the liquefied natural gas sequentially and subject it to heat exchange with a refrigerant so as to be gasified, and with heat exchange equipment 2 on the air side comprised of a high-temperature- part air-side heat exchanger 21, a middle-temperature-part air-side heat exchanger 22 and a low-temperature-part air-side heat exchanger 23 which are connected to the above gas-side heat exchangers through refrigerant transfer pipes 31-33 respectively and which lead air sequentially and cool it down to prescribed temperatures by the refrigerant circulated between the gas-side heat exchangers. The facilities are provided with moisture removing equipment 3 which supplies a moisture removing agent to the upper part in an air passage of a heat transfer tube 22a in the middle-temperature- part air-side heat exchanger and makes it drop along the heat transfer surface so as to remove the frost, ice or the like sticking on the surface.
