Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable temperature control for preventing the icing of a water separator in the air cycle type air conditioner of an aircraft or the like.
CONSTITUTION: Air at the outlet of an air cycle turbine 6 is led to a water separator 7 after being heated by room air at the cooling time and by the exhaust heat of a heat exchanger 2a at the heating time by utilizing a heat pipe system 13. Cold at the outlet of the air cycle turbine 6 can be thereby utilized effectively to cool the interior of the room.
