PURPOSE: To enable the prevention of mildewing in an air conditioner, by providing an air filter located at an air intake port with a pocket, and containing a mildewproofing agent, a germicide or the like in the pocket part.
CONSTITUTION: At the time of using an air conditioner, an air filter 1 of the air conditioner is drawn out, a notched part of any of upper projections of a bag 13a containing an agent 13 is broken to unseal the bag 13a, which is moved in the direction of an arrow from the position indicated by dash-and-dot lines to clamp it between a net 12 and a frame 1b, and the air filter 1 is refitted to the air conditioner, whereby mildewproofing in the air conditioner and a room, deodorization of the interior of the room or the like can be easily performed. Since the air filter is drawn out and washed by the user of the air conditioner at a preset interval, it is easy to notice the absence of the agent in the bag, so that the use of the air filter in the absence of the agent can be obviated.
