Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent a pulsation combustion phenomenon in an engine from occurring, by increasing a fuel injection quantity to a first suction port temporarily at a time when a second suction port is opened.

CONSTITUTION: A first suction port 2 and a second suction port 3 both are installed, and a suction control valve 10 is installed in this second suction port 3. At the time of low speed and low load, this suction control valve 10 is fully closed. At the time of opening the suction control valve 10, a fuel injection quantity out of a first fuel injection valve installed in the first suction port 2 is temporarily increased. With this constitution, such a possibility that an air-fuel mixture in a combustion chamber 1 temporarily becomes rarefied is avoided, thus a pulsation combustion phenomenon in an engine is preventable.
