Abstract:

PURPOSE: To control an air fuel mixture by means of an electronic mixture controller used for an internal combustion engine by finding a throttle opening from an actual engine speed and a fuel flow rate depending on foot loads on an acceleration pedal, thereby supplying a proper quantity of the mixture for the engine.

CONSTITUTION: In idling, a CPU28 controls revolution speeds by determining a reference revolution speed N0 corresponding to a cooling water temperature 23, comparing the speed N0 with an actual revolution speed Nn and turning a DC motor 26 forward or reverse on the basis of the comparison. In driving, the CPU calculates a required fuel amount from a throttle openning Xn and controls a fuel injection valve 15 on the basis of the result. Additionally, the CPU drives a throttle valve opening Znn from this result and the actual revolution speed Nn, supplies the result to the DC motor 26 in the phase of a signal for controlling a throttle valve 14 to the specified opening Znn. Both the characteristics of increasing fuel flow rate and air flow rate can be agreed with each other. The CPU28 provides additional means of compensating an aged wear on a throttle valve rod and correcting the mixture on the basis of a signal of an O2 sensor 24.
