Abstract:

PURPOSE: To correct dispersion of the air-fuel ratio between cylinders in a multicylinder engine to regulate a flow rate of at least one of air and fuel in plural carburetors through a single solenoid valve.

CONSTITUTION: In a multicylinder engine composed of cylinders EG1 to EG4 whose intake stroke is started in the respectively different timing and stroke cycle is performed in parallel to it, multiple carburetors CB1 to CB4 to supply an air fuel mixture with every cylinder and a solenoid valve EV to regulate a flow rate of at least one of air and fuel in these carburetors, an engine control device ECU is arranged to control opening of the solenoid valve EV in synchronism with the intake stroke timing of a cylinder trying to regulate the air-fuel ratio on the basis of a crank angle signal s2.
