This system is provided with a gas engine 1 using gas as main fuel, a supercharger 5 driven and rotated by exhaust gas of the gas engine and supercharging the gas engine, a generator 15 driven and rotated by a rotary shaft 8 of the supercharger, and a controller 17 controlling operation of the generator. The controller controls operation of the supercharger by changing generating power of the generator and drives and rotates the supercharger by the generator. An air cooler 10 cooling air compressed by the supercharger and a pressure detection means 11 detecting charged air pressure charged to the gas engine 1 from the air cooler. The controller changes generating power of the generator to control charged air pressure detected by a pressure sensor roughly constant.
