Abstract:
PURPOSE: To avoid fuel overflow in a carburetor at the time of reduced speed traveling of a vehicle and to improve reheating performance after speed reduction.
CONSTITUTION: In an air intake device 23, wherein a carburetor 18 for feeding air-fuel mixture to an engine 10 is enclosed by a ram box 20 which is equipped with a wind leading part 21 for inducing traveling wind from forward during traveling of a vehicle (motorbicycle), and ram pressure exceeding atmospheric pressure is applied into a ventury passage 37 and a float chamber 38 of the carburetor 18 during traveling of the vehicle so as to enhance efficiency of charging air-fuel mixture into the engine 10, the ram pressure is applied into the float chamber 38 during acceleration traveling and constant speed traveling of the vehicle A pressure switching means 48 for applying atmospheric pressure into the float chamber 38 during reduced speed traveling of the vehicle is provided. The pressure switching means 48 is provided with, for example, a pressure hose 49, solenoid valves 50A, 5OB and an ignitor controller 51.
