To provide a jack high in jacking capacity and excellent in durability by expanding a flexible bellows according to the guide of air from a compressed air supply source located outside the jack.
When a jack is used, a contracted jack is arranged below an object to be jacked, and a compressed air supply source is communicated with a valve inlet. A valve tip 62 is energized to a valve seat 64 by a spring 66. The flow of the air from the compressed air supply source is started. While the compressed air passes through an inlet port and flows into a chamber, a lift member jacks the object to a desired height. When the object reaches the desired height, the flow of the compressed air into the chamber is completed. After the object need not be jacked, a handle 58 is pulled to allow the compressed air flow from the chamber, and pass a passage 68 in a control valve 50.
