To provide an air knife usable for air knife coating with excellent appearance of a coated part, a coating method, a coating apparatus, and a production method of a sheet-like polymer coated with a cured layer having excellent appearance.
The air knife is a coating air knife with a slit-like shape having an inner wall in the slit part parallel in the air jetting direction and a lip face which is a plane at right angles to the inner wall and continued from the inner wall. The surface roughness of the inner wall and the lip face is 0.3 μm or lower and the corner part formed between the inner wall and the lip face has a curvature from 0.005 mm to 1 mm. The coating method is carried out by moving a sheet-like material horizontally, supplying a coating solution to the sheet-like material, and blowing air to the sheet-like material from the air knife. The production method of a sheet-like material coated with a cured layer is carried out by forming a cured layer of a coated part formed previously by the above-mentioned coating method on at least one face of counter belt faces of two endless belts and transferring the cured layer to the surface of a sheet-like polymer.
