Abstract:

PURPOSE: To shorten air lock operation time, avoid the generation of abnormal vibration, reduce fuel consumption or power consumption at the time of pumping cut-off operation and avoid adverse effect on a pump constituent member such as a submerged bearing generated by the temperature rise of remaining water by making water, remaining in a lifting pipe, escape rapidly at the time of switching to pumping cutoff operation.
CONSTITUTION: The lower part of a lifting pipe 4 is piercingly provided with an escape port 12, and a siphon-like escape pipe 13 with an air lock preventing valve 15 interposed is connected to the escape port 12. When the water level of a water absorbing well 9 is lowered to the pumping cut-off water level SWL from a normal operating state, an intake valve 6A is fully opened to switch to pumping cut-off operation. At the same time, the air lock preventing valve 15 is opened by a valve opening signal outputted from a controller 8. Water W remaining in the lifting pipe 4 thereby escapes rapidly into the water absorbing well 9 by the siphon action of the escape pipe 13.
