An area to be massaged is massaged by supplying and exhausting air to and from an air cell that is expanded and contracted with supply and exhaust of air and arranged on a setting member. The air cell is an asymmetric air cell that has an asymmetric shape with a different form on a treatment side part and a setting side part with a ratio of the treatment side area to the setting side area of less than 1/2, and the treatment side area is less than 400 square centimeters. A linear fold line is preferably provided on the surface of the air cell and, when air is exhausted, the air cell is folded along a fold line to contract flat. The air cell is preferably provided with a rigid body on its side that has a shape adapted to the setting part.
