To reduce air consumption by efficiently using air without waste from the beginning and thereby improve air followability.
An air motor 2 comprises a cylinder 10 having a cylindrical space S, a rotor 11 rotatably provided at an eccentric position in the inside of the cylinder 10 and vanes 13 provided in radial engagement grooves 12 formed in the rotor 11 for freely moving in and out, rotates the rotor 11 by supplying compressed air supplied in the space S between the cylinder 10 and the rotor 11 through an air supply hole 14 formed in the cylinder 10 to air chambers s partitively formed by the vanes 13 projecting from the engagement grooves 12 and discharges the compressed air from an exhaust hole 15 formed in the cylinder 10. The air motor is characterized in that a flywheel 17 with rotary vanes 18 is operatively coupled to a rotary shaft of the rotor 11 and the flywheel 17 is rotated with discharged air from the exhaust hole 15.
