Title:
AIR NOZZLE FOR FLUIDIZED STATE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3137528
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable an efficient use of an air nozzle to be attained at a low differential pressure and further to prevent particles from being back flowed into an air box by a method wherein an annular cavity is formed between an inner pipe and an outer pipe and a cross sectional area of the annular cavity is determined in response to a specific condition.
CONSTITUTION: An annular cavity 7 is formed between an inner pipe 1 and an outer pipe 2 and a cross sectional area of the annular cavity 7 is determined in reference to an equation of A=QN/u and u/uN, where A is a cross sectional area (m2) of the annular cavity 7, QN is a volumetric flow rate (m3s) of gas flowing in a single air nozzle for fluidizing operation, (u) is a gas flow-speed (m/s) in the annular cavity 7, and (u1) is a terminal speed (m/s) of particles to be processed. Then, air is supplied from below the inner pipe 1, the air is passed through an upper air hole 5, the annular cavity 7 and a lower air hole 6 and then the air is discharged into the fluidized bed. With such an arrangement as above, it is possible to use it at a low pressure difference and further to prevent the particles from being back flowed into the air box.
