To provide an air operated valve control system and its method capable of maintaining high reliability while achieving redundancy.
An air operated valve control system 10 includes a control part 14 for outputting a first signal d1 for opening between ports P and A of each electromagnetic valve 12 (12a-12d) having three ports P, A, E or a second signal d2 for opening between ports E and A; the first electromagnetic valve 12a of which the port P is connected to an air supply part 11 for supplying air pressure b; the second electromagnetic valve 12b of which the port P is connected to the air supply part 11, the port E is vent-released and the port A is connected to the port E of the first electromagnetic valve; the third electromagnetic valve 12c of which the port P is connected to the port A of the first electromagnetic valve 12a and the port E is vent-released; and the forth electromagnetic valve 12d of which the port P is connected to the port A of the first electromagnetic valve 12a, the port E is connected to the port A of the third electromagnetic valve 12c and the port A is connected to an air operated valve 16 to be operated by the air pressure b.
