Abstract:
The footwear item comprises an upper (2) having a structure associated internally therewith. The structure is composed of a perforated liner (16), and a mesh (17). A grid (18) is inserted therebetween and has enlarged knots provided with spacer elements. The liner (16) is placed in contact with a wearers foot whilst the mesh (17) is adapted to contact the inner surface of the upper (2). The upper (2) includes a plurality of apertures (5,9,12,14) for allowing air therethrough.
