PURPOSE: To provide an air-permeable, sterile and transparent plastic container that is producible at low cost and is available for use in plant cultivation.

CONSTITUTION: An air-permeable sticking sheet 2 is made up by applying processing with sticking agent to both sides of a base made of sterilized paper, nonwoven fabric or a porous plastic sheet, and furthermore by laminating separate paper onto the sticking agent layers, and the sheet is formed into a shape of flange for a container by means of die cutting. Then, the separate paper on one side of the air-permeable sticking sheet is peeled off, and the sticking sheet is stuck to a flange 3 of a molded plastic container 4. After the container 4 and a covering material 1 are pasteurized with ethylene oxide gas or γ rays, culture medium for plant cultivation is poured into the container under the sterile atmosphere, and the separate paper on the other side is peeled off. Then, the covering material 1 is stuck to the air-permeable sticking sheet 2 for sealing, and thereby the air-permeable sterile container is obtained.
