To provide an air-permeable and waterproof sole leather with which heat and water vapor can be exchanged optimally between inside and outside of a shoe.
The air-permeable and waterproof sole leather has a waterproof lower component (11), which composes the part touching the ground, along at least a part of the extended part of the sole leather, an upper component (12), which comprises a supporting frame having several small cells (13) that are connected with openings (14) on at least their upper and bottom faces, and a water-impermeable and vapor-permeable separating membrane (19) surrounding the outer face of at least the outmost portion of the upper component (12). The lower component (11), the upper component (12) and the separating membrane (19) are bonded such that at least parts to which water can come in are sealed.
