To provide a coating composition for air purification capable of inhibiting reduction in performance of air purification and capable of exerting air purification performance for a long period of time.
An aqueous resin composition comprises a (meth)acrylate polymer emulsion and a colloidal silica as a coating film formation material. The coating composition for air purification is produced by adding a silicon-based water repellent of about 2-50 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the coating film formation material on the basis of a solid content, a photocatalyst substance of 1-100 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the mixture on the basis of the solid content, an inorganic filler substance of 50-300 pts.wt. and a pigment into the aqueous resin composition to disperse those using water, an alcohol or their mixture.
