PURPOSE: To prevent the change in O2 concentration in the generated clean air by a method wherein an air one of the adsorption columns is regenerated by passing a part of clean air in the reverse direction, then air is simultaneously passed both adsorption columns in forward direction, thereafter the adsorption process is switched.
CONSTITUTION: Air is supplied from line A and freed from reaction component in a catalyst column 6 where reaction occurs. The air is then passed through a two-way valve SV1 and enters an adsorption column ADS1 in forward direction and the clean air is passed through valve SV4 and taken out via a generation-outlet 11. A part of the clean air passes through valve SV8 and enters an adsorption column ADS2 in reverse direction to regenerate adsorbent, then is discharged via valve SV6 and lines E, F. Immediately before the adsorption column ADS1 is saturated, a valve SV5 is opened and a valve SV8 is closed, so that part of air enters the adsorption column ADS2 to increase the pressure in the column. When the adsorption column ADS1 is saturated, the valve SV1 is closed, the valve SV8 is opened, and the adsorption column ADS2 is switched to adsorbing condition.
