Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong a filter life together with the improvement of initial purification performance by providing an adsorption decomposing membrane comprising an adsorption decomposing particle wherein an optical catalyst is supported on a surface of an adsorbent small particle, and a filter layer containing an adsorbent large particle which is scattered in the membrane and exposed from the membrane, on a surface of a honeycomb base material.
SOLUTION: An active carbon powder as an adsorbent small particle and a titanium oxide powder as an optical catalyst are used, those are mixed, and the active carbon powder as an adsorbent large particle is added to the obtained mixed solution to obtain a filter layer-forming liquid. Then, after washing and drying an aluminum honeycomb as a base material, it is dipped into a filter layer-forming liquid to execute application. Thereafter, burning is executed in a kiln, and a filter layer is formed on the honeycomb surface. Thereby, an adsorption decomposing membrane comprising an adsorption decomposing particle wherein the optical catalyst is supported on a surface of the adsorbent small particle is formed on a surface of the honeycomb base material, and a filter in a form wherein an adsorbent large particle is scattered in the adsorption decomposing membrane and exposes itself or protrudes, is obtained.
