Abstract:
To provide an air resistance reduction structure of a back door of a vehicle capable of suppressing an increase in a negative pressure on a back surface of a vehicle body without incurring any restriction of an industrial design.SOLUTION: Conventionally, a left edge space 20L or a right edge space 20R has served as a passage of an air stream due to a difference in a negative pressure induced in a rear part of a vehicle during traveling of the vehicle. The passage of the air stream is blocked with an air dam 41. Each of the left edge space 20L and the right edge space 20R is segmented owing to the air dam 41. A difference in a negative pressure is hardly observed between ends of a segmented upper left edge space 22L (the same applies to each of a segmented lower left edge space 23L, a segmented upper right edge space 22R, and a segmented lower right edge space 23R). Therefor, the segmented upper left edge space will never serve as a passage of an air stream. As a result, occurrence of an eddy current is inhibited, and an increase in a negative pressure can be suppressed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
