Abstract:

To provide an air suction controller of an internal combustion engine capable of effectively performing combustion by swirl formed using a bypass passage, accurately controlling an amount of suction air when idling operation is done, and realizing stable idle condition.

This air suction controller of an internal combustion engine is provided with a throttle valve 9 of electronic control type arranged on an air suction passage 4 of the internal combustion engine 1 to adjust an amount of suction air, the bypass passage 11 which is provided so as to bypass the throttle valve 9 and whose downstream side end part 11a is connected with the vicinity of a suction valve 6 of a suction port 4b, a bypass air valve 20 adjusting an amount of air passing through the bypass passage 11, and a rich gas supply means 12 for supplying rich gas to a downstream side of the throttle valve 9 on the air suction passage. Upon completion of warming-up of the internal combustion engine 1, a part or all of suction air amount control when idling is done by the throttle valve 9.
