Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce friction and contract an installation space by setting the pressure receiving region of the body inner side to larger than that of the body outer side in the region where the outer tube of a shock absorber receives the pressure within an air chamber in the air suspension for a vehicle. CONSTITUTION:An air chamber 80 is formed with the elastic part 72 composed of the outer side elastic part 74, in which its upper end is fixed to the outer side of the lower end 68 of a metal ring 60, the inner side elastic part 76, in which its upper end is fixed to the upper end 70 of an outer tube 28, and the connection elastic part 78, in which its outer side upper end is connected with the lower end of the part 74 and its inner side upper end is connected with the lower end of the part 76, together with a metal ring 50 and the ring 60. And the region where the tube 28 receives the pressure within the chamber 80 is formed so that the pressure receiving region S1 of the body inner side is larger than the pressure receiving region S2 of the body outer side. This constitution causes a large force to be applied to the region S1, and the bending of a shock absorber 26 to the body inside to be constrained. Consequently friction can be reduced.
