Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent bottoming on a rear wheel side by connecting an air spring to a surge tank via a valve which opens and closes based on a detected signal of displacement of a front wheel axle, in a rear wheel suspension device of a vehicle having an air spring. CONSTITUTION:A bottoming detecting sensor 53 is provided between a front wheel axle 11 and a frame 13 to send the displacement of the front wheel axle 11 to a microcomputer 40. The microcomputer 40 reads both the outputs of carrying load sensors 54, 55 and the condition signal of a magnetic valve 24 and foresees bottoming in accordance with a defined control map, to carry out judgment for control. When it is in a controllable range, a magnetic valve 24 is closed to shut off the connection between a surge tank 25 and air springs 17, 21, while increasing the damping force of shock absorbers 18, 22. Due to this construction, the bottoming on the rear wheel side can be prevented.
