PURPOSE: To facilitate the internal observation and make free to select the observing place, by furnishing image fiber which penetrates the air tight container hermetically.
CONSTITUTION: The image fiber 4 is hermetically penetrated through the bellows type hermetic seal 6 to the container's wall of the high vacuum container 2 of the surface analyzer which furnishes an electronic gun 1 and a sample holder 3. A magnifying device 5 is connected to one end of the image fiber. It is able to move the tip of fiber 4 and turn to the direction of the sample 7 through the bellows 6. It is also able to penetrate the image fiber hermetically to the high pressure container etc. through hermetic seal and observe the inside of it. Accordingly, it is able to facilitate the internal observation and to select the observing place freely.
