Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically decrease rotation frequency when rotation of an air tool such as an air grinder due to an air motor exceeds the standard rotation frequency, and to prevent normal usage by locking with a locking system in this state.
SOLUTION: A safety valve element 4 capable of changing a passage opening of a valve seat 24 laid in an air passage 23 of a main body casing 22 is provided with a first urging means 6 urging in a direction close to the valve seat 24. A safety valve stopper 16 capable of moving outward in a radial direction thereof by centrifugal force due to rotation is equipped with a rotating member 2 which can rotate with an air motor, and a second urging means 20 urging the safe valve stopper 16 oppositely to a direction in which the centrifugal force acts on is provided. When the rotation frequency of an output shaft 25 of the air motor exceeds the standard rotation frequency, a locking system locking the motion of the safety valve element 4 is released, and the safety valve element 4 is brought close to the valve seat 24 by the first urging means 6 to decrease the passage opening, and in this state, the motion of the safety valve 4 is locked again by the locking system.
