PURPOSE: To prevent malodor in a small filth receiving chamber, by such a light wt. small noiseless apparatus that an ionized air generating apparatus is additionally mounted to the upper part or on the lid of the filth receiving chamber.

CONSTITUTION: An ionized air generating apparatus 1 is provided to the upper part or the lid 9 of a small filth receiving chamber 10 such as a dust box in which filth 8 is received and consists of a hermetically closed box shaped air sending part and an ion generating part having an anode and a cathode which is provided in opposed relationship and between which high voltage is applied. When corona discharge is generated between both electrodes, the steam of an ion or ionized ozone is generated and a gentle air stream is generated. Therefore, a rotary air blowing blade or a drive part is not required and the malodorant generated from filth is purified by an ionized air stream.
