Abstract:
PURPOSE: To increase the thrust by making effective use of the air while reducing the weight of the whole engine with simple constitution by driving two compression fans by the gas of high temperature and pressure generated in a single gas generator.
CONSTITUTION: Two compression fans 8 and a turbine which is directly connected to a same shaft 10 as the fans are continuously provided in the transverse direction of an aircraft body 1 within an inclined air introduction passage 7 ranging from an air inlet 5 which is open to the upper position diagonally forward of a ram burner 1 to the ram burner 1, and two turbines 9, 9 are driven by the gas of high temperature and pressure generated in a single gas generator 11.
