Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air valve which increases blocking capacity against rainwater and the like and whose blocking capacity is not weakened even when installed in an inclined manner.SOLUTION: An air valve 1 is configured by including: a cylindrical cylinder 2 for introducing service water to the inside from a water supply port 21 at a lower part; a columnar float valve 3 disposed in a freely ascending/descending manner inside the cylinder 2; an end block 4 which has an elongated air hole 41 penetrating in a vertical direction, and in which the columnar float valve 3 ascending by receiving buoyancy from the service water can be adhered to so as to block the air hole 41; an end block auxiliary body 5 in which a hollow part 51 for communicating with the air hole 41 is formed, and which is located and fixed at an upper side of the end block 4; and an end cap 6 fixed at the cylinder 2 by covering the end block auxiliary body 5. In the end block auxiliary body 5, a second air hole 52 is formed for penetrating a side wall 5ab from the hollow part 51, and a ring-shaped elastic body 53 is provided which is adhered to an outer peripheral surface of the side wall 5ab with a predetermined elastic force and which can block the second air hole 52.
