Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air valve capable of easily securing washing water for a float valve element, in an air valve applied to a water pipe.SOLUTION: An air valve 1 connected to a public water supply pipe 51 through an auxiliary valve 21, and including a float valve element 8 in a valve casing 4, has a washing pipe 31 connected to a pipe conduit between the public water supply pipe 51 and the auxiliary valve 21 at one end, and connected to the valve casing 4 through a washing valve 32 at the other end, a washing nozzle 33 disposed on the other end of the washing pipe 31 and jetting the water of the washing pipe 31 to the float valve element 8, and a drain pipe 39 for discharging the water in the valve casing 4 supplied from the washing pipe 31, through a drain valve 38, and further includes a washing mechanism 50 for jetting the water of the public water supply pipe 51 from the washing nozzle 33 through the washing pipe 31 in a state of closing the auxiliary valve 21 and opening the washing valve 32 and the drain valve 38 to wash a surface of the float valve element 8.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
