Abstract:
To provide an air valve which prevents size increase of an entire part while minimizing increase in the number of components, sufficiently achieves exhaust, suction, and water stop functions as an air valve, and unfailingly prevents entry of water from the outside when submerged.SOLUTION: An air valve includes a substantially cylindrical cover body 14 enclosing the upper side of a large air hole 20 and has: an opening 22 opening downward while communicating from the large air hole 20 through a communication part 21 provided within the cover body 14; a check valve seat 15 provided at the communication part 21 which is located between an upper end surface 23 formed at the upper part side of the large air hole 20 and the opening 22; and a check valve body 16 which is provided between the check valve seat 15 and the opening 22 and moved up by buoyancy of water. The check valve body 16 is moved up by water flowing from the opening 22 to contact with and seal the check valve seat 15 and thereby prevent entry of water from the outside.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
