Abstract:
To provide an air bag device for a steering wheel which can constitute rectifying members to be arranged on an inner part simply and can store an air bag compactly within a storage portion.SOLUTION: An air bag 20 includes a bag main body 21 and a rectifying member 32 which rectifies inflation gas discharged from an inflator 11 in the bag main body. The rectifying member includes three gas flow-out ports 36 so that inflation gas almost runs along a ring surface RF of the steering wheel W and, at the same time, can flow out to three directions of left side, right side and rear side. The rectifying member is constituted so as to partially connect outer peripheries of a vehicle body side panel 38 and a driver side panel 50 with each other. The vehicle body side panel arranges three connection portions 34 to be connected onto a corresponding outer periphery of a driver side panel and three non-connection areas 35 between the connection portions on the outer peripheral side of the plane portion continuous from the opening corresponding to the flow-in opening. The gas flow-out port is constituted from a portion of the non-connection areas between the connection portions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
