To moderate a behavior of an airbag to project to an occupant side after inflation to a certain extent in a configuration as simple as possible.
An airbag device capable of being disposed in an instrument panel includes: an inflator capable of generating gas; and the airbag 30 which has a gas inlet 32h to introduce gas from the inflator and is inflated and deployed into a bag shape at the interior side of a vehicle by the gas introduced from the inflator via the gas inlet 32h. The airbag 30 has, at its upper portion, an extra length in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, and is folded into an accommodation form after being folded in a substantially planar state by folding the extra length portion toward the rear of the vehicle into the airbag 30.
