Abstract:
To provide an airbag device capable of limiting motion in the outside of an airbag of a strap even when releasing the other end of the strap.
This device has: the airbag 2 folded in a normal time and expanded and developed in case of emergency; an inflator 3 for supplying a gas to the airbag 2; a retainer 4 fixing the airbag 2 and the inflator 3; and a strap holding device 6 for holding the other end 52 of the strap 5 connecting one end 51 to a part of the airbag 2 to be releasable and has a strap restraining tether 7 keeping one end 71 connected to the strap 5 and the other end 72 to the airbag 2. The strap restraining tether 7 limits the motion of a free end of the strap 5 which has been released.
