Abstract:
To provide an airbag device that can be easily manufactured and can restrain an occupant in a state closer to a sitting posture as much as possible.SOLUTION: An airbag device, which inflates and expands at the side of an occupant seated on a seat of a vehicle, comprises: an inflator; a first panel having a first fixed part and a second fixed part opposing to each other; a second panel forming an airbag together with the first panel; and a regulating member, provided inside the airbag, which has a first site and a second site fixed to the first fixed part and the second fixed part respectively. A length from the first fixed part to the second fixed part of the first panel is longer than a length from the first site to the second site of the regulating member. The airbag has a main bag and a sub inflating part formed of the first panel and the regulating member. When the airbag inflates and expands, gas from the inflator is introduced into the main bag, the second panel faces the occupant, and the sub inflating part contacts the vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
