To provide an airbag which is capable of reducing the manufacturing man-hour, the cost and the weight thereof even when executing a gas leakage countermeasures, simply manufactured, and free from any trouble for the recycling.
A circumferential wall 11 of the airbag 10 includes a body cloth 12, and a supplementary cloth 36 coupled with the body cloth in a partially overlapping manner on an inner circumferential surface 12 side of the body cloth. A cloth 39 constituting the body cloth and the supplementary cloth is formed of polyamide woven fabric. A coating layer 32 with emulsion of polyamide elastomer being partially coated on the body cloth and dried is provided on a bond area 33 bonding the supplementary cloth on the body cloth, and an extended area 34 over the bond area. The coating layer on the bond area is used as heat sealable adhesive CA that adheres the supplementary cloth 36 to the body cloth 12 whereas that on the extended area is arranged in such a manner as to be exposed to inflation gas upon airbag inflation so as to act as a protective membrane CP for preventing gas leakage of the body cloth.
