To provide an aircraft environmental control system and a method for controlling temperature in an aircraft.SOLUTION: An airflow interleaver 300 comprises: a first airflow guide structure 302 configured to guide a second airflow 108 towards a central axis 226 of a mixing chamber 202; and a second airflow guide structure 304 configured to guide a first airflow 104 away from the central axis 226. A method includes introducing first and second airflows 104 and 108 to a mix manifold 200, and mixing the first and second airflows, which includes guiding the first airflow 104 away from the central axis 226 and guiding the second airflow 108 towards the central axis 226.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
