Abstract:
PURPOSE: To allow the drop-fuel tank of an aircraft to be cast-off without being constrained by the residual fuel quantity and the speed-acceleration of the aircraft.
CONSTITUTION: This aircraft fuel tank cast-away device is formed of a movable fin 2 variable in the angle of incidence provided on a drop fuel tank; a detecting device 5 for detecting residual fuel quantity in the drop fuel tank; a detecting device 3 for detecting body speed; a detecting device 4 for detecting body acceleration; and a controller 6 for controlling the movable fin 2 with the signal input of the detecting devices 3, 4, 5.
