Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for allowing an aircraft tire immediately before landing to naturally rotate at a ground speed in a forward direction, for solving, by an aerodynamic method, the problem in which: when an aircraft lands at an airport, because of the difference between the peripheral speed of the tire of a wheel and the ground speed of the body of the aircraft, white smoke rises from the tire, and the tire is worn; in order to match the peripheral speed of the tire and the ground speed of the body of the aircraft upon landing, there have been already proposed methods each specially providing a driving source and aerodynamic methods, but the methods each specially providing the driving source result in the weight increase of the body of the aircraft and complicate a mechanism; and the aerodynamic methods so far proposed do not succeed in making sufficient use of an aerodynamic effect and have difficulty in matching the peripheral speed of the tire and the ground speed of the body of the aircraft.SOLUTION: Drag-type blade elements 6 according to wind turbine dynamics are provided near the outer periphery of a tire side face in such a direction that a tire 9 rotates in the forward direction of the body of an aircraft. Thereby, the rotation direction and the peripheral speed of the tire and the ground speed of the body of the aircraft are matched.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
