Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the maximum power of a solar battery in an aircraft having a wing with a solar battery mounted on the surface thereof.

CONSTITUTION: Solar altitude is measured by solar altitude measuring devices 10, 11, 12, 13 for measuring solar altitude viewed from an aircraft, and the dihedral angles of wings 2, 3 are changed appropriately using dihedral angle adjusting mechanism 14, 15, 16 for changing the dihedral angles of the wings 2, 3 according to the measured solar altitude so as to allow the generated energy of a solar battery 7 to be made the maximum.
