Title:
AIRFLOW CONTROL DEVICE OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2016089688
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce particulate substances, the number of particles, and unburnt HC in exhaust flow by raising a temperature in a cylinder by increasing a residual gas.SOLUTION: Plasma actuators 23A, 23B, 23C, 23D of an internal combustion engine 1 are disposed on at least one of an intake port 7 and an exhaust port 8. The plasma actuators 23A, 23B, 23C, 23D generate at least one of airflow opposed to intake main flow 36 and airflow opposed to exhaust main flow 38 in a non-warm-up time of the internal combustion engine 1 to increase a residual gas in the cylinder 2. Thus a temperature in the cylinder 2 is raised, and injected fuel is easily vaporized and hardly attaches to a cylinder inner wall and a piston crown surface. Accordingly, particulate substances, the number of particles and unburned HC in the exhaust flow 38 are reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
