PURPOSE: To prevent foreign matter from entering into the titled apparatus through a blow-off port and prolong the useful life of the apparatus, by closing the blow-off port by an airflow direction changing plate of an automatic louver mechanism when the device is not used.
CONSTITUTION: A rotary shaft 6 is vertically projected from upper and lower parts of each of airflow direction changing vanes 5a, 5b, and is supported by inserting into an upper frame body 7 and a lower frame body 8 of the blow-off port 3. An interlocking shaft 10 projectingly provided on the rear side of the shaft 6 is inserted into a hole 13 provided at a front side 12 of an L-shaped interlocking plate 11. A spring 14 has one end 15 fixed to an end part 16 of the front side 12 and the other end 17 fixed to a right frame body 18 so that the plate 11 is constantly energized in the direction of the right frame body 18. A stopper 24 has only a head part 25 thereof projected beyond a bottom surface of the lower frame body 8, and is moved in the vertical direction by an elastic force of a coil 26 provided at a lower part of the lower frame body 8. When an air conditioner 1 is not used, the plate 5b is pressed by a finger 28 until it closes the bow-off port 3.
