PURPOSE: To provide an airframe washing device which can be installed within a hanger of conventional height hand safely washed conforming to the complex configuration of an airframe.
CONSTITUTION: The device comprises a multi-joint type robot 16 in which a nozzle 20 for jetting washing solution to surface of airframe, 11 is disposed at tip of a multi-joint arm so that controlling is made of followup scanning on surface of airframe, an axial direction moving mechanism 12 for moving the multi-joint type rotor in axial direction on the airframe, and vertically moving mechanism 15 in which the mechanism is disposed in symmetrical relation to axis of airframe respectively, so that the multi-joint type robot is moved in vertical direction to axis of the airframe. Accordingly, washing is made without hindering by shape of protrusions, such as an airframe tail.
