Abstract:
An airless application system includes a primary product container (100) and a sprayer (200) in fluid communication with one another. The primary product container (100) may include a relatively rigid canister (105), a collapsible bag (110) within the relatively rigid canister (105), and propellant in the space (115) between the bag (110) and the relatively rigid canister (105). The sprayer (200) includes a sprayer tip (215); a primary product chamber (240) for holding a primary product to be dispensed through the sprayer tip (215), the primary product chamber (240) has an outlet (260) in selective fluid communication with the sprayer tip (215) . A secondary product chamber 285 has an outlet (295) in selective fluid communication with the sprayer tip (215). A manual control (285) travels through a range, the range including a first position and a second position; and a valve assembly (230, 290, 315) is responsive to the manual control (235), wherein when the manual control is in the first position, the primary product chamber outlet (260) is closed; and wherein when the manual control is in the second position. the primary product outlet (260) is open. The invention also involves a method of airless spraying of a primary product and a secondary product.
