To provide an airplane obstruction light device which uses a light screening plate for lessening the influence of the light from a medium-intensity cool white light on a peripheral area of a transmission tower and reduces the influence of a wind pressure on the light screening plate.
A medium-intensity cool white airplane obstruction light 25 and a light screening plate 36 are provided on a transmission tower 11. The light screening plate 36 is in the form of a flat plate, horizontally provided around the medium-intensity cool white light 25 and screens the light toward the lower place from the medium-intensity cool white light 25, and the influence of the wind pressure on the screening plate is reduced. The light screening plate 36 is divided into plural sections corresponding to a peripheral direction of the medium-intensity cool white light 25, the individual light screening plate sections 36 are reduced in weight and miniaturized to lighten the working on the tower, and the light screening plate sections 36 are provided only in necessary directions for light screening.
